Obituary of Anne Ruth Apsley

Anne Ruth Apsley, age 83 of Vancouver, Washington, passed away on August 21st 2014, of natural causes. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 24th, 2014 at 6:00p.m. Bruce Hazel of Vancouver First Church of God will be officiating. Anne will be buried with her husband at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial Funeral & Cremation. Anne was born in Chihuahua, Mexico December 12th, 1929. Anne was married to Clifford Lea Apsley June 11th, 1954; they were married for 56 years. In 1966 Anne worked for Tuckers Men’s and Boy’s Wear as a seamstress. In 1970, she went to work at National Beef Packing Company and retired from there ten years later. In the 1980s Anne started working for Liberal School District helping children from around the world learn English as a second language. Ten years later Anne retired and moved with her husband to Vancouver, WA. Anne is survived by her younger sister Mary Culver, her children Perry Apsley, Kenneth Apsley, Vickie Conlee and step-daughter Jerry Gram. Grandchildren Michael Apsley, Laura Apsley, Kye Apsley, Kristina Conlee, Geneva-Kae Snyder, Josh Apsley, and Justin Apsley. Also, eight great-grandchildren. Anne is preceded in death by her husband Clifford, Her parents Henry D. and Anna Friesen, brothers Frank, Pete, Hank, Jake and Ike. Service Information
