Memorial Day 2023

In preparation for Memorial Day this year, Wilhelm’s would like to encourage our visitors to use alternate forms of transportation when visiting Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial. Please visit Portland’s Transportation Resource Guide to learn more about walking, biking, transit, and many other options.

If you drive to Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial, we have arranged for visitors to be allowed to park at these off-street parking lot locations:

Available all weekend:

  • 6501 SE 14th Avenue: 21 parking spaces in our new parking lot located immediately north of the Mausoleum, on the west side of SE 14th Avenue. Please note, SE 14th Avenue is one-way traveling south and the parking lot is located north of SE Claybourne Street.
  • 6894 SE 14th Avenue: 51 spaces in our old parking lot located across the street from the Mausoleum, south of SE 14th Avenue between SE Claybourne Street and SE Glenwood Street.

The world-famous Rae Room at Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial is open to the public only ONE day a year: Memorial Day, May 29. Help us honor America’s finest with a memorial service at 1:00 pm, with bagpipes, free refreshments, and the chance to win one of two $250 Visa gift cards. We owe our veterans so much – join us for our annual Memorial Day tribute.
