Obituary of Evelyn Marie Lee

Evelyn Marie (Raisl) Gabriel-Lee was born in Sidney, MT on March 31, 1951 to parents Maxine (Ondracek) Raisl and Alvin Raisl. She passed on May 25, 2021 from complications of diabetes. She fought hard until the end, even being called a miracle patient, but sadly her body just could not fight any longer. Evelyn loved her family, especially her sons Troy and Eric, grandchildren Noah and Mia, and daughter-in-law Mikyong. She and her partner, Dale, enjoyed vacationing and fishing at Tenmile Lake near the southern Oregon coast. They made yearly trips there with family. Evelyn lived in eastern Montana during her early youth. In 1963 the family moved to the Milwaukie, OR area. Evelyn attended St. John the Baptist Catholic grade school and graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1969. She then attended Oregon State University for a year. She started work in the banking industry and eventually found her niche as the ‘Loan Goddess’. Many activities over the years filled Evelyn’s love for people. Her boys were avid baseball players and she followed them like any devoted mother would. Evelyn was a member of a decades long bunco group. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and TOPS. Evelyn was a doer and always stepped up to help when called upon. She is survived by her partner, Dale Bolan (Milwaukie, OR); son Troy Gabriel (Portland, OR); son Eric (Mikyong) Gabriel (Waxhaw, NC); grandchildren Noah and Mia Gabriel (Waxhaw, NC); brother Gary (Liz) Raisl (Milwaukie, OR); brother Ed (Lynn) Raisl (Tacoma, WA); sister Annette (Loren) Finifrock (Athena, OR); brother David (Karmyn) Raisl (Milwaukie, OR); many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Maxine Raisl. A celebration of Evelyn’s life will take place on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church at 10:00. A reception will follow at the Milwaukie Elks Lodge. Donations can be made in Evelyn’s name to NAMI.
