My brother and I (Dennis and Marla Blanchard) children of Frank and Betty Blanchard were just talking about George, our friend and your Father.
We both send our condolences for your loss. And the loss of your Mother, whom we also knew,
My brother and I both skated @ the Oaks Park 1960 - 1972 and we also competed competitively.
Many, many good times, happy memories and character building for young kids and young adults.
The last time I saw your Father was in 2015 or 2016, when I was up visiting my father.
Every trip to Portland (I live in San Francisco) required a trip to the rink, just to see old friends and enjoy the memories.
I had a great chat w/your dad and he walked me over to Volanne's (Stephens) house for a visit.
I can say, we are grateful to have known both your Mother and Father, wonderful people, genuine, kind, thoughtful and a heck of a lot of fun at the old skating rink.
I'm now 68 and my brother is 72, so your parents were young adults when we knew them.
Again, our deepest sympathy in your loss.
We lost our mom in 2014 and our dad in 2016.
May your memories bring you joy and comfort.
Marla Blanchard and Dennis Blanchard
