Obituary of Betty Ann Locke

Betty was born on April 9, 1927 in Kalama, Washington to Lyle and Gladys Taylor. She moved to Portland with her parents as an infant, where she lived for most of her life. In later years, she lived in Lake Oswego and Beaverton, where she resided in a memory care facility until her death on January 20, 2021. Betty married John Jay Locke on July 20, 1947 in Milwaukie. John preceded her in death in 2005. Betty enjoyed counter cross stitch. She and John took many international trips in retirement, and after John's death, with her daughters, including cruises. Betty's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her absolute delight. Betty is survived by daughters Donna Locke, Gail Snyder, Suzanne Locke, Delissa Locke, Barbara Schmuki, Judy Locke; grandchildren Shelley Elkins, Christopher Engerman, Todd Engerman, Melissa Cary, Jessalyn Sells, Jacob Klein, Kaitlyn Farrington, Adam Schmuki, Taylor Chapman; great-grandchildren Phillip Halter, Halle Engerman, Bryn Cary, Nolan Incontrera, Kendall Engerman, Cara Chapman; siblings Mary Howland, William McFarland, Sharon Cagle. She was preceded in death by great-grandson Trysten Elkins and siblings Dorthea Chastain, Nancy Buell, James McFarland.
