Obituary of Randall J. Godwin

Randall J. Musillami Godwin, age 40, of Newport, Oregon passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2020. Randall was born on May 25, 1979 to Angelo and Deborah Musillami. He spent his adult years living in and loving Oregon's beauty. Randy received a Masters of Arts Degree in Teaching English. He enjoyed teaching English as a second language to students around the world. In 2015, Randall moved to Newport, Oregon, but it was not until 2017, that he met the love of his life, Stacey Godwin. He lived his happiest years in Newport, close to family, friends, and a community of support. As a couple, they enjoyed traveling to many places, and had a special connection to Ecuador and the Arizona desert. Randall was a kind and sensitive soul. He is deeply loved and greatly missed by his family and friends. He worked at living his life with intention and purpose. He was a teacher, a loving partner, a brother, a son, and an uncle. He had a compassionate mantra of: "I am yours. You are mine. All is well." Randall had a fondness for nature and spent time hiking and body boarding. Randall’s passion was reading, writing, and studying. His topics of interest included conversational analysis for second language acquisition, membership categorization analysis, ethnomethodology, and French and Russian literature. Randall is survived by his beloved partner, Stacey Godwin, his mother, Deborah Musillami, his sister, Allison Musillami, and his nephew, Keagan Musillami. He was preceded in death by his father, Angelo Musillami. In his life he filled our hearts with love, laughter, joy, and knowledge. He will forever be cherished.
