Obituary of Audrey A. Loughmiller

The world lost a caring, funny and wonderful woman on December 11, 2019. Audrey Loughmiller was such a fiesty and spirited woman, wanting to take care of herself until the end. Audrey passed away Wednesday morning, she was 92 years old.

Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Donald and Beatrice Perkins. Audrey was the middle child and grew up on a farm with her older sister, Juanita Dieterle and younger brother, Sonny (Donald Jr) Perkins. 

Audrey survived two husbands before marriage to Clarence (Chuck) Loughmiller on August 5, 1978 in Portland, Oregon. Audrey and Clarence met at Llewellyn Elementary School, where she was the librarian and he was the custodian. The two enjoyed working together but enjoyed retirement even more. They traveled all over the US via many road trips. They traveled to the Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore and even to Alaska on a cruise.

The love that Audrey and Clarence shared was an example of what marriage should be: two people in love and sharing life together.

Audrey loved to garden and read, and there wasn't a pie or cookie that she couldn't bake. She was the favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews back in Michigan.

Audrey was a natural grandmother, and leaves behind two granddaughters that loved her dearly and four great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many people who loved her. 

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Silverton Cemetery, off of McClaine St across from Wilco, Silverton, Oregon.
