Obituary of David James Horn

David James Horn died, Saturday, April 27, 2018 at the age of 65.

He was the youngest of four boys born to Eleanore (Emig) and William Horn. The family lived in different army bases and then settled in Portland, Oregon in 1960. He graduated from Madison High School in 1971.

David worked on the Alaskan fishing boats and in the Wood & Gas Sales until his health declined. He was also a Scout Leader for Pack 212 and supported his children's activities. He was a stay-at-home Dad, before it was fashionable!

David married LaVonne Reisdorf (1986-2013) and had two beautiful children, Billy and Kristen Horn, He was a devoted Dad to Billy and Kristen, and supported them throughout his life. His children loved him very much and their lives will be forever altered without him in it.

He loved watching sports and was a devoted fan to the San Francisco 49ers and Portland Trailblazers. He loved to fish (but liked to catch it more then eat it); he passed this hobby to his two children. Dave was a Master BBQ man and loved grilling his Gartner meats! The young friends of Billy and Kristen will remember the "flying kids game". David liked to go on excursions with his family and friends; whether that be vacations, rafting, camping, or hot rod shows, he loved doing things with people.

Dave was also surrounded by life long friends. "The Gang" will miss his easy going style, watching the games with him and celebrating the May Babies annual party.

He is survived by his children Billy and Kristen Horn. Also brother Steve and his Emig cousins. Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers Bill and Tom Horn.
