Obituary of Patricia L. Bacus

Patricia L. Bacus, known as Teeta to her family and friends, went to be home with Jesus, her Saviour, on July 6, 2018 at her home in Vancouver, WA.  She was born in Portland, OR on May 18, 1956.

As an infant, Teeta lost her hearing during a serious illness. She attended The Oregon School for the Deaf in Salem, OR throughout her elementary and middle school years. She has kept in contact with many of the friends she made there. This has grown to many, many friendships that developed through the years within the deaf community. She loved visiting with her friends via on-line video conferencing or face-time.

She attended high school at Pine Eagle Charter School in Halfway, OR and attended Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, OR. Throughout the years, she worked as a personal in-home caregiver, and had various jobs in nursing homes and restaurants.

Patricia loved her family dearly and leaves behind a son David Bacus and daughter Teeta Norman (husband James). She has 3 grandsons, Dorian, Dylan and Dustin (ages 16, 11, and 7).  She has 3 sisters, Barbara Gerrior, Gloria Lobaugh and Sandra Hutchison, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
