Obituary of James Matthew Amuro

James passed away suddenly on April 10, 2012. He resided in his early years in West Haven, and Branford, CT, before moving to Lake Oswego, OR in 1994. James graduated from Platt Voc-Technical School in Milford, CT and after numerous jobs including cooking and auto mechanics, found his calling as a Truck Parts Manager with Northside Trucks. Jimi was such a devoted father to his three children. He enjoyed all types of activities with his children, including water sports, snowmobiling, fishing, camping, sporting events, especially his beloved Red Sox. With his generous personality, he made many life-long friends that he treasured. Jimi is survived by three children; Allison Dryden, Jacob and Zachary Amuro. His mother, Shirley Amuro, his brothers; Robert and Alan (Sandi) Amuro, sisters JoAnne (Tom) Trufan, and Laura Morgan, several nieces and nephews; and his former wife Kathie Zakrzewski. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert. Viewing will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 6705 SE 14th Avenue, Portland. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at Southlake Church, 1555 SW Borland Road, West Linn, OR.
