Obituary of Ardice Noreen Stransky

Ardice Stransky was born in Macoun, Saskatchewau, Canada to Joseph and Mabel Stransky and has lived in the Milwaukie area since 1923 when her parents relocated from Canada. She attended Wichita Grade School and graduated high school from Milwaukie Union High School in 1934. She went on to attend higher education classes at the State System of Higher Education in Portland. Ardice resided in Albuquerque, NM, Toledo and Bend, OR for a short period before returning to the Milwaukie area in 1960. Ardice worked as a bookkeeper in the lumber business along with working for Omark Industries and the Oregon Liquor Control before retiring in 1976. Ardice leaves behind a brother, Malcolm Stransky from Kaloa, HI, two nieces, Sherlyl Fabianck of Anacortes, WA, and Lynn McLernon of Koloa, HI and many cousins, grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mabel, sister Mildred Judd and brother Waldo Stransky. Ardice was often referred to as "Auntie Ardice" by her family and those close to her. She enjoyed staying active (dance, hiking, and gardening) and did extensive travel visiting acquaintances throughout the Mid- and Northwest. Ardice valued her close family connections and developed many close friendships throughout her lifetime. She will be missed by many who came to know and endear her. Service Information
