Obituary of John W. Evans

John William Evans was born on September 23rd, 1956, in Red Bank, NJ to Frank and Mary Jane Evans. He grew up in Portland, OR and graduated from Benson High School in 1974. He became a longshoreman at ILWU Local 8 on April 12th, 1980; later he became a foreman at ILWU Local 92. On May 20th, 1984 he married Clair Beer. They had three daughters together: Stephanie, Rachel, and Ashley. His hobbies were playing golf, boating, skiing, and spending time with his daughters by coaching them in softball. He was devoted to his family and his job. John passed away on July 29th, 2012. He is survived by his wife Clair, three daughters: Stephanie, Rachel, and Ashley; his sister Hiedi Adams (Evans) and her son Frank F. Evans.
