Obituary of William L. Brown
Beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away surrounded by his family.
Bill was born in Elma, Washington on December 1, 1925. He was the middle of three children, he had an older sister Peggy, and still has younger brother Lowell. He served in World War II from 1944 - 1946. He was drafted right out of High School before he could walk to get his diploma which his mother accepted for him. After a few years in college he met the love his life Margaret Frances Redkey. They were married July 1, l951. They had three childern Shirley Geiter, Milwaukie, Charlie Brown, Oregon City, and Billy Brown, Gladstone.
Bill worked for the State Highway Department for 30 years and took an early retirement to care for Margaret who was suffering from major health issues. Bill spent countless hours taking care of Margaret and his children. Margaret lost her battle in February of 2004.
He leaves grandchildren behind which he really enjoyed too. With his children and grandchildren he and Margaret loved to camp, and fish, hunt. We have wonderful stories to share of some of those trips just ask us.
Bill's fun loving, good humor and personality will be missed. He always had a great one liner that made
his family laugh and smile which we enjoyed even up to the end of his life last week.
