Obituary of Jack Henry Seale

Jack Henry Seale Jan. 8, 1955 – Dec. 20, 2012 Jack was born in Portland Oregon January 8th 1955. Jack was raised from infancy to about the age of 14 in Natchez Mississippi. The family then moved back to Portland where Jack attended middle school and Grant High School. He was a wonderful son to his mother Delores Seale and was very close to his sisters Pam Dossett and Terri Wolfe. Jack began his almost 40 year career at the young age of 18 with Crown Zellerbach in February 1973 and retired from the same job under the name of Georgia Pacific as the facility superintendent at Sundial Chip Reload. March 2012. Jack Met Jami Krager in September 1983 and they were later married in July 1984. They welcomed 2 daughters Jenney Seale and Jacquelyn Seale within the first 5 years of their marriage. Nothing made Jack more proud than his three girls. Jack helped out on field trips for the girls as well as coaching basketball. The entire family loved road trips and camping. There were a few visits to Mississippi, California and Disneyland. The girls both thought it crazy but Jack and Jami continued date night on Friday evenings. This was something very special and treasured by them both. These date nights continued throughout their 28 years of marriage. Jack’s eldest daughter Jenney Seale and Ezequiel Aguilar gave Jack something he looked forward to, a grandson. Alex Jackson Aguilar was born on September 29th 2008. This little guy stole his Grandfathers heart from the very start and once Alex reached the very interactive stage he and Grandpa were playmates and best buddies and could put the entire family into fits of laughter with their antics. Jack always felt relief and a confidence that Eze will always take great care of both Jenney and Alex. Jack’s youngest daughter Jacquelyn Seale and Joshua Bohlman were there to lend a hand as Jenney and Eze were but because they lived closer they were able to come around more often which led to many Board and dice game nights as well as Blazer games. Jackie is into doing fish tanks and redid Jacks tank so that he could enjoy his fish while Josh and others painted the outside of the house. Jackie would stop by daily after work and enjoy some one on one time with her Dad. Jack looked forward to these visits. It was hard for Jack to accept help as he was always the one to offer a lending hand before he got sick. Jack appreciated everything his kids did for him and Jami. Jack was formally diagnosed with stage IV Melanoma January 8th 2010 and was told he would only have10-12 months to live. Jack assured Jami that he did not feel sick and that he was not going to let this cancer get him. It was soon apparent to them both that with the advanced stage of the cancer they would need to look outside the box for additional treatment options and that’s when Jack became involved in a clinical trial that helped to slow his cancer down and gave him an incredible three years to be with his family and friends. He helped to advance treatment options for others stricken with the same disease and the drug he was on was FDA approved in March of 2012. Jack is a hero to many that did not even know him. Jack lost his hard fought battle on December 20, 2012. He is and always will be loved and missed. His legacy will continue on in his children and grandchildren.
