Obituary of Lydia Louise Douglas

“Lidia” Louise Voll was born at home on November 17th, 1920 at 4:10pm to Frank and Louise Voll. She was the youngest of eight children and the only girl. Her brothers were Albert, Fred, Wesley, John, Emil, Sam, and David Voll, all deceased. Lydia graduated from Franklin High School in June 1938. She married her beloved husband, Clifford “Bud” Douglas on April 15th, 1942. They were married for 58 years until he died September 1st, 2000. Lydia worked for Mannings Coffee Shop, Safeway, Park N Shop, Big B and Thriftway grocery stores. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society Thrift Shop for 17 years and Tualatin Tigard Senior Center where she worked as a cook for 10 years. She also volunteered at the New Voice Club. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and many include great and great great nieces and nephews along with many friends! Lydia will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Bud, in a military plot at Willamette National Cemetery. Lydia especially enjoyed going to the Oregon Coast and holiday get-togethers with family and friends.
