Obituary of James Robert Colligan

Jim was born in Lengby, Minnesota, the second of three sons of James and Bertie Colligan of Lengby, Minnesota. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Mary in 2012 and his son Jim in 2009. He is survived by his daughter Judy (James Marshall); sons, Patrick (Christina) and Michael; granddaughters, Katelyn and Madison; great grandson, Brayden and brother, Dean Colligan. Friends and family will remember Jim for his love of family; his expert handyman skills; his famous fudge and his love of travel. Celebrations of Jim’s life with Military honors are planned in Portland and Bagley, Minnesota. The celebration in Portland will be held at the Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial Funeral Chapel, 6705 SE 14th Ave. at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014. A reception will follow the celebration at the funeral home. The celebration in Bagley will be held in June of 2014. Interment will be in the Bagley City Cemetery.
